Sony Purges Hundreds of Low-Quality Games from PlayStation Store

Sony has taken action against ThiGames by removing hundreds of its titles from the PlayStation Store. Prior to this move, ThiGames was among the top developers in terms of the number of games available on the platform, surpassed only by Eastasiasoft, Ratalaika Games, and Webnetic. The removed games, often criticized for their simplistic nature and rapid development, were sometimes utilized by players to easily earn trophies. According to estimates by GameDiscoverCo's Simon Carless, ThiGames was generating nearly $10 million annually, despite the actual number of unique games being around 150, not over 1000 as initially reported, due to the counting of multiple regional SKUs for each game. The reason behind Sony's decision and the exact number of removed games remain unclear, as neither ThiGames nor Sony has issued a public statement on the matter.
