Ubisoft Aims for Global Excellence in Every Segment with New Creative Houses
Ubisoft has unveiled its new Creative Houses structure, which will comprise multiple studios and game brands, each with full ownership of its profit and loss. This move is part of the company's efforts to improve game quality, boost staff retention, and reduce costs by €200 million over two years. The new structure will be supported by a Creative Network department and a Core Services department, with Ubisoft HQ overseeing strategic priorities, talent management, and corporate communication. The company also plans to have all staff return to working on-site five days a week, with the goal of enhancing collective efficiency, driving creativity, and improving game quality. In an interview, SVP of Studio Operations Marie-Sophie de Waubert and CFO Frederick Duguet discussed the changes, stating that the company aims to be the best in the world in every segment it operates in, with a focus on producing fewer, higher-quality games.
