Ustwo Games to Deliver Keynote at Develop:Brighton 2026

The Develop:Brighton conference has unveiled Ustwo Games as its inaugural keynote speaker for this year's event. The studio's CEO, Maria Sayans, CCO Daniel Gray, and CDO Peter Pashley, will engage in a fireside chat, 'Ustwo Games: A Positively Playful Business', reflecting on the developer's 14-year history. As the masterminds behind the acclaimed Monument Valley series, Alba: A Wildlife Adventure, and Desta: The Memories Between, the executives will delve into the origins of Ustwo and the creation of games that leave a lasting impact. Earlier this year, Ustwo Games announced a strategic shift towards PC development to foster a more direct connection with its audience. According to Sayans, this move stems from the realization that being perceived as a mobile-first game developer imposes limitations on both product design and marketing strategies. By prioritizing PC as the primary platform, the studio aims to build stronger relationships with its community and subsequently expand its reach through console and mobile releases. The first wave of speakers for Develop:Brighton 2026 was announced last month, featuring talks from prominent industry players such as Respawn Entertainment, PlayStation Studios, and EA's Full Circle Studio. The conference is scheduled to take place from July 14 to 16 at the Hilton Brighton Metropole, with GamesIndustry.biz serving as a media partner for the event.
