Following the massive success of the Super Mario Brothers film, three Mario titles have catapulted into the UK physical Top Ten this week. Mario Kart 8: Deluxe has claimed the No.2 spot, experiencing a 9% sales boost and marking its third consecutive week of rising sales. Super Mario Odyssey has jumped five places to No.5, thanks to a 15% sales increase. The game's bundled package with a special Nintendo Switch console has contributed to its steady ascent up the charts. New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe has seen a significant 23% sales surge, propelling it seven places to No.10. Beyond the Top Ten, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury has risen to No.13 with a 21% sales increase, while Mario Party Superstars has edged up to No.20 with a modest 3% sales growth. Meanwhile, Mario Strikers: Battle League Football has re-entered the charts at No.30, boasting an impressive 111% sales spike. Additionally, Luigi's Mansion 3 has reappeared at No.40, driven by a 7% sales rise. Ubisoft's Mario + Rabbids series is also represented in the Top 40, with Sparks of Hope at No.27 and Kingdom Battle at No.32, although both titles have experienced slight sales declines of 18% and 6%, respectively. In other news, FIFA 23 remains at No.1 despite a 39% sales drop, while The Resident Evil 4 remake has slipped to No.3 with a 34% sales decrease. Hogwarts Legacy now occupies the No.4 spot, having suffered a 32% sales decline. The only new entry in the charts is Cult of the Lamb by Devolver, debuting at No.28 in the physical charts.
