Neople Restructures Development Teams as The First Berserker: Khazan Nears Completion

Neople, a subsidiary of Nexon, has undergone a team reorganization as The First Berserker: Khazan approaches its final development phase, with no staff layoffs resulting from this restructuring. According to a Nexon representative, the decision aims to optimize resource allocation for current and upcoming projects, including global Dungeon & Fighter franchise games. The adjustment is designed to support ongoing live service operations and future initiatives within Neople and its affiliates. Initial reports suggested that the restructuring was due to disappointing sales of The First Berserker: Khazan. However, Nexon CEO Junghun Lee recently stated that the company is preparing for the game's launch in China, which is expected to demonstrate its long-term potential. Despite initial revenue shortfalls, Nexon views the game as a strategic first step in introducing the Dungeon & Fighter IP to a global audience.
