Amazon Luna to End Support for Third-Party Game Stores and Subscriptions

As of June 10, 2026, Amazon Luna will no longer support third-party game stores, individual game purchases, and external subscriptions. The company is shifting its approach to third-party content, adopting a new model that it believes will better serve its customers in the long run. After June 10, only subscribers with a standard or premium plan will have access to the Luna game library. The EA, Ubisoft, and GOG stores will be removed from the platform, along with Ubisoft+ and Jackbox Games subscriptions. Additionally, the 'Bring Your Own Library' feature, which allowed users to play games purchased from other sources on Luna, will be discontinued. Games obtained through these channels will remain playable until the shutdown date and can be accessed through linked third-party accounts thereafter. However, Amazon will not provide refunds. Users will have 90 days to download their game saves, although compatibility with other gaming services is not guaranteed. Initially launched in 2020 as a competitor to cloud gaming services from Google, Microsoft, and PlayStation, Amazon Luna now includes its standard service with Amazon Prime, offering a premium tier for an expanded game selection.
