Roblox Introduces New Monthly Subscription Service, Roblox Plus

Roblox has announced the launch of Roblox Plus, a new monthly subscription service set to debut on April 30. For $5 per month, subscribers will enjoy discounts on in-game items and avatars, as well as exclusive benefits. Notably, Roblox will cover the discounts, ensuring creators continue to earn the same amount per item, while subscribers can purchase more items with the same number of Robux, potentially increasing creators' earnings. Creators will also benefit from subscribers using paid private servers and can earn up to 100 Robux for every subscriber who spends over 60 minutes in their game's paid server within 30 days. Additionally, creators can earn a bonus of 250 Robux per month for each new subscriber who signs up through their game, up to 750 Robux for the first three months. The introduction of Roblox Plus will lead to the retirement of Roblox Premium, which will no longer accept new sign-ups. Existing Premium members can continue their membership and opt for a free one-month trial of Roblox Plus. Roblox aims to provide a recurring revenue stream for creators, who are increasingly building businesses on the platform. The company is already working on new benefits to evolve Roblox Plus alongside the community, ensuring continued fun and growth for years to come.
