Koei Tecmo Upgrades Financial Projections for FY26 Following Impressive Performance of Recent Titles

Koei Tecmo has revised its financial outlook for the fiscal year ending March 2026, driven by the remarkable success of its recent releases, including Pokémon Pokopia and Nioh 3. The company now forecasts a 50% increase in ordinary profit, rising from ¥37 billion to ¥55.5 billion, largely attributed to strong fourth-quarter sales and investment gains. Operating profit is expected to grow by 16.1%, from ¥31 billion to ¥36 billion, while net sales are projected to decline by 4.9%, from ¥92 billion to ¥87.5 billion. The revision is a result of the impressive performance of new titles and the company's effective market management strategies. Nioh 3, released on February 6, has become the fastest-selling title in the series, with over one million copies sold across all platforms. Pokémon Pokopia, launched on March 5, has also achieved remarkable success, selling over 2.2 million copies within four days of its release. The game's launch led to a significant increase in Nintendo's share price, rising by up to 10.5%, the largest increase since April 2025. With these developments, Koei Tecmo expects to achieve record highs in net sales, ordinary profit, and profit attributable to owners of the parent company.
