Gamescom Dev 2026 Unveils Initial Speaker Lineup and Session Schedule
The organizers of Gamescom Dev have revealed the first set of speakers and sessions for the upcoming August conference. This year's event boasts an impressive lineup of more than 50 speakers, including notable figures from Sony Interactive Entertainment, Remedy Entertainment, Quantic Dream, Insomniac Games, Ubisoft, Housemarque, Bloober Team, CD Projekt Red, ZA/UM, and Epic Games. Highlights from the initial lineup include presentations by Samuel Holley, lead gameplay engineer and designer at Sucker Punch Productions, who will discuss 'Curating Guided Exploration in Open Worlds'; Yiyi Zhang and Jyro Blade, who will deliver a talk on 'Navigating a Career in Game Development'; Mike Jungbluth, animation and realization director at Compulsion Games, sharing his experiences on 'South of Midnight'; and Noor Amin, senior game designer at Riot Games, who will provide insights into 'Effective R&D Processes for Game Modes'. With approximately 220 sessions and 390 speakers, Gamescom Dev promises a diverse range of formats, including talks, keynotes, panel discussions, fireside chats, roundtables, and workshops. The event has also seen a record number of registered exhibitors, with companies from over 40 countries participating, marking a 15% increase from the previous year. Following its rebranding from the Devcom Developer Conference, Gamescom Dev aims to further establish itself within the Gamescom brand family and strengthen its position in the global game industry.
