Housemarque to Lead Session at Nordic Game 2026

This year's Nordic Game conference will feature a presentation by Finnish game developer Housemarque, with a focus on the creation of its newest title, Saros. The discussion, titled 'Lessons from Carcosa: Art & Design Direction for Saros,' will be led by brand director Mikael Haveri, associate design director Mitja Roskaric, and art director Simone Silvestri, who will explore how art and design intersect to enhance Housemarque's core gameplay philosophy. Housemarque joins an impressive lineup of speakers at Nordic Game 2026, with the full conference schedule available online. Other notable speakers include Mat Ombler from Laced Music, marketing journalist Junae Benne, and Martin Walfisz, founder of Connecting the Pixel. The conference will also feature a State of the Industry 2026 panel, comprising experts from Newzoo, Game Advisor, Embracer Group, and Mighty Diamonds. Last week, organizers announced the speakers for the Masterclass Friday program, which offers in-depth workshops and expert-led sessions on game development. The Developer Showcase Hall, hosted by indie hub Spelkollektivet, will showcase over 100 games from developers worldwide, including the Nordics, Japan, China, Ukraine, and South Africa, providing opportunities for connection with publishers, investors, media, and industry peers. Tickets for Nordic Game 2026 are available for purchase, with a final price increase set for May 1, 2026. The conference will take place from May 26 to May 29 at Slagthuset in Malmö, Sweden.
