Top Honors at German Computer Game Awards 2026 Go to Blue Prince and The Darkest Files

The German Computer Game Awards 2026 have announced their winners, with Blue Prince taking the award for Best International Game and The Darkest Files winning Best German Game, Best Serious Game, and receiving €140,000 in prize money. A total of €800,000 was distributed across 15 categories. Other notable winners include Anno 117: Pax Romana for Best Innovation and Technology, and The Berlin Apartment for Best Graphic Design and Best Story. The awards, organized by the German Federal Government and the German Games Industry Association, aim to promote and recognize outstanding game development in Germany. According to Game managing director Felix Falk, 'The winning titles are a powerful showcase for the quality of games made in Germany – and we want to see even more of that in the years ahead.' The full list of winners includes Best German Game, Best International Game, Studio of the Year, Newcomer Awards, and various genre-specific categories.
