THQ Nordic Mobile: The New Face of HandyGames

In a strategic move, HandyGames has undergone a rebranding to become THQ Nordic Mobile, signifying a shift in focus towards adapting high-quality PC and console games for mobile platforms. The German publisher, known for its work on mobile versions of Wreckfest, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated, and Titan Quest, aims to leverage the THQ Nordic umbrella to expand its portfolio with mobile adaptations of renowned franchises. Meanwhile, the company's in-house development studio will continue to operate under the HandyGames name, focusing on creating original content and providing technical support for THQ Nordic Mobile's porting endeavors. The founding duo, Christopher Kassulke and Markus Kassulke, will maintain their leadership roles in both the publishing and development sectors. The restructuring will not impact existing development projects, ongoing support for live titles, or current licensing agreements. This development follows THQ Nordic's acquisition of HandyGames in 2018, granting the Austrian publisher control over all HandyGames intellectual properties.
