New Game Studio Feeble Minds Unveiled by Goat Simulator Creators

The co-founders of Coffee Stain, Oscar Jilsén and Mikael Mård, renowned for their work on Goat Simulator and Satisfactory, have launched a new game development studio called Feeble Minds. They are joined by a team of experienced professionals, including Jannik Reuterberg, Johan Gustafsson, Sofie Irenheim, Marloes de Graaf, and Clara Lindblad Åman. Although Feeble Minds was established in 2022, it has only recently been publicly announced, alongside the reveal of its debut project, Serpent's Gaze - a four-player cooperative roguelike game inspired by the soulslike genre. According to Jannik Reuterberg, the company's CEO, the idea for the game stemmed from the team's passion for cooperative roguelikes and their admiration for the souls formula. The game's development has been underway since the studio's inception, and the team is now eager to share their vision with the gaming community. In a LinkedIn post, CTO Johan Gustafsson expressed his excitement about the game's demo release on Steam and its upcoming full release in early 2026. The establishment of Feeble Minds marks a new chapter for the Coffee Stain co-founders, who have been instrumental in the success of several notable games, including Goat Simulator and Satisfactory. Coffee Stain was founded in 2010 and gained massive popularity with the release of Goat Simulator in 2014. The studio was later acquired by THQ Nordic, now known as the Embracer Group, in 2018. The Embracer Group has since undergone significant changes, including the establishment of Coffee Stain Publishing in 2017 and the announcement of plans to spin off the Coffee Stain Group as a standalone entity by the end of 2025.
