Unity Sees Moderate Revenue Growth in Q3 2025 Ahead of Unity 6 Reaching 10 Million Downloads

Unity has released its Q3 fiscal year financial results, posting modest yet better-than-anticipated gains across key segments, including Create and Grow Solutions. Total revenue rose 5% year-over-year to $471 million. Key highlights include: $471 million in revenue (up 5% year-over-year), $152 million from Create Solutions (up 3% year-over-year), $318 million from Grow Solutions (up 6% year-over-year), and a net loss of $127 million (with a 27% margin). Unity attributes the 3% increase in Create Solutions revenue to strong subscription growth, offset by decreases in consumption services revenue due to its portfolio reset. The 6% growth in Grow Solutions revenue is attributed to the strong performance of Unity Ad Network, slightly offset by declines in other Grow businesses. CEO Matthew Bromberg expressed excitement about progress in the Create business, citing a 13% year-over-year increase in Create subscription software business after adjusting for nonstrategic revenue. Since Unity 6's launch, which has seen over 9.4 million registered downloads (up 42% from last quarter), customer-reported issues have decreased by 22%. The company anticipates revenue of $480-$490 in the next period, with mid-single digit sequential growth for Grow and high-single digit year-over-year growth for Create. Unity also plans to focus on extended and augmented reality, ensuring support for industry growth as AR and VR headset shipments are expected to grow 38% in 2025.
