Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra Delayed Again

The launch of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra has been postponed for the second time, with the game now expected to debut beyond the initial early 2026 timeframe. According to a statement released by Skydance Games on social media, the delay is necessary to ensure the game meets the desired level of quality. The statement read: "Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is a highly ambitious project, and we are dedicated to delivering a game that meets the high standards of our team, players, and fans." The company expressed gratitude for the community's enthusiasm and support, stating that the development team is working diligently to create an exceptional gaming experience. First announced in 2021, when Amy Hennig, the former creative director of Uncharted, joined Skydance to work on a Marvel project, Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra was initially teased in 2022 before its official reveal at Epic's State of Unreal event at GDC 2024. Following a partnership with Plaion to publish the game, Skydance initially planned to release it in 2025, then delayed it to early 2026 to add more polish and meet the envisioned quality standards.
