Supercell Ends Development on Squad Busters Less Than 18 Months After Release

Supercell has officially announced the end of active development for Squad Busters. Launched in May 2024, the game will cease operations by mid-2026. In-app purchases have been discontinued, and players who made purchases in 2025 can transfer their value to other Supercell games like Clash Royale, Brawl Stars, or Clash of Clans. According to Supercell, the game's failure was a valuable learning experience, as it allowed the company to apply lessons from previous games and take bold risks. Despite introducing significant changes, such as the addition of Heroes, the game failed to meet expectations. A final update is scheduled for December, after which the development team will focus on new and existing projects. As a gesture of appreciation, Supercell is offering complimentary bundles to players.
