Mastered Secures Additional Funding to Boost UK Gaming Industry

Mastered has announced the receipt of additional funding to support game development studios and publishers across the UK, particularly in regions such as London. Following the recent procurement of county council funding contracts aimed at upskilling senior UK gaming talent, Mastered has witnessed a notable increase in requests for its services, specifically for leadership coaching and strategic training. According to Mastered CEO Perri Lewis, this funding enables the company to provide vital support to the gaming sector, enhancing operational efficiency and leveraging innovative technologies like generative AI. The funding, which covers up to 90% of training costs, will be accessible to studios in gaming hubs such as Guildford, Brighton, and other regions, including Liverpool and the North East. Mastered's programs are designed to offer 64 hours of mentoring, training, or coaching over 16 weeks, featuring industry-led mentoring, interactive workshops, and one-to-one guidance. Over the past two years, Mastered has supported over 30 studios, including D3T, Sumo, and Radical Forge, with a focus on senior studio professionals. The company's programs cover essential skills such as pipeline adoption, leadership development, and production management. As noted by Radical Forge COO Alison Lacy, Mastered's collaborative approach and tailored bootcamps have significantly improved individual and team performance. UKIE CEO Nick Poole emphasizes the importance of investing in senior skills to maintain the UK's position at the forefront of gaming innovation. Studios interested in accessing this funding can submit their applications via an online form, with the deadline set for November 30, 2025.
