Steam's Surprise Co-op Sensation RV There Yet? Reaches 1.3 Million Sales

RV There Yet?, a cooperative online game, has surpassed expectations by selling 1.3 million units on Steam following its launch on October 21. Nuggets Entertainment, the studio behind the game, has expressed surprise at its rapid success. In a YouTube video, community manager Jace Varlet shared that the game's sales skyrocketed from 1 million to 1.3 million overnight. "The game's popularity has far exceeded our initial expectations," Varlet stated. As the debut title from Sweden-based Nuggets Entertainment, RV There Yet? challenges players to navigate a recreational vehicle through the countryside, overcoming obstacles and working together to succeed. The game features realistic elements, such as using winches and administering medical treatments. According to Video Game Insights, nearly half of the game's players are based in Europe, while over a quarter are in North America. SteamDB reports a peak concurrent player count of 96,985 within a 24-hour period. The game's budget-friendly price point, currently discounted to £6.02, has contributed to its appeal, drawing comparisons to another surprise hit, Peak, which achieved similar success earlier in the year.
