Microsoft Dismisses Rumors of Xbox Product Removal from US Retailers
Microsoft has denied reports that major US retailers, including Target and Walmart, have stopped selling Xbox Series X and S consoles. The company stated that these retailers "remain committed partners" for Xbox consoles, accessories, and games. This denial comes after speculation that some retailers were removing Xbox products from their stores, following a reported decision by Costco to stop selling Xbox consoles in the US and UK. Microsoft's statement was made in response to rumors that emerged after recent price increases for Xbox products and services in the US, including a price hike for the Xbox Game Pass subscription service. The price increase is attributed to the expansion of the service's offerings, which now include Fortnite Crew, Ubisoft+ Classics, and enhanced Xbox Cloud Gaming streaming quality, as well as access to over 75 day-one game releases per year.
