Fragbite Group Offloads Playdigious to Griffin Gaming Partners in $12.2 Million Deal
Fragbite Group has announced the sale of its subsidiary Playdigious to Griffin Gaming Partners for $12.2 million. The deal enables Fragbite to retain 90% of the net revenue from certain PC games, including Fretless – The Wrath of Riffson, under its Playdigious Originals publishing arm. Playdigious is primarily recognized as a mobile game publisher, with notable titles such as Dead Cells and Cultist Simulator, and also handles Nintendo Switch releases. The acquisition of Playdigious in 2021 was deemed a successful investment by Fragbite. However, the company has decided to divest the subsidiary to strengthen its capital position and support new strategic initiatives. According to Fragbite, the divestment will have a minimal impact on its gaming business strategy, which focuses on decentralization and intellectual property rights. CEO Stefan Tengvall expressed his appreciation for the Playdigious team and emphasized that the close ties between Fragbite and Playdigious will persist. Tengvall believes Playdigious will continue to thrive under Griffin Gaming Partners.
