Lucid Games Expands Presence with New Liverpool Office
Lucid Games is set to launch a new office in Liverpool, UK, marking a significant expansion of its operations. The new headquarters aims to establish Lucid Games as a key player in Liverpool's thriving gaming industry, providing a dynamic and inclusive environment for both seasoned professionals and newcomers to the sector. Scheduled to open in November within the Baltic Triangle area, the office is designed to reflect the city's vibrant culture, characterized by its street art, skateparks, and converted warehouses, mirroring the creative ethos of Lucid Games. As Liverpool emerges as a major gaming hub in the north, driven by its rich talent pool and growth across the creative industries, the new office is poised to capitalize on this momentum. Designed by Oktra, the office is located in a beautifully restored Victorian grain mill. According to Nick Davies, COO of Lucid Games, "As we've grown over the past 15 years, it's essential for us to expand our presence while remaining rooted in our Liverpool heritage. Our collaboration with Oktra has enabled us to create a modern, vibrant, and spacious office that embodies our team's creativity and aligns with the ambition of our current game developments. This new setup will facilitate better collaboration, improved infrastructure, and ample room for growth, providing our staff with a comfortable and inspiring workspace to produce their best work." Following its acquisition by LightSpeed Studios in 2023, Lucid Games, the developer behind Destruction AllStars, is embarking on this new chapter in its growth story.
