Capcom Unable to Ensure Monster Hunter Games Will Function on Windows 10 Post October 14

Capcom has issued a warning that it cannot ensure the proper functioning of its Monster Hunter series on Windows 10 after October 14. This announcement comes as Microsoft prepares to discontinue support for the operating system. Although players will still be able to play Monster Hunter: World, Monster Hunter Rise, and Monster Hunter Wilds on Windows 10 after the cutoff date, future updates may render the games incompatible. The Japanese game developer notes that any issues that arise after October 14 may only be addressed based on pre-existing information, and support for troubleshooting on Windows 10 will be terminated. Meanwhile, Valve will also be ending Steam support for 32-bit Windows 10 systems starting January 1, 2026, but this change is expected to have a minimal impact on users. Recently, Capcom's president cited the high cost of the PlayStation 5 as a factor in the lower-than-expected sales of Monster Hunter Wilds, despite the game selling eight million copies in just three days and becoming the company's fastest-selling title to date.
