IGN Entertainment Unveils Imagine Platform

IGN Entertainment has introduced Imagine, a cutting-edge analytics platform that merges cultural insights with artificial intelligence to analyze and engage specific audience groups. Launched in beta, with a full release scheduled for early 2026, the platform comprises two primary modules: Imagine+ and Imagine Audience. Imagine+ utilizes data from IGN Entertainment's diverse brands to create detailed 'culture maps', providing in-depth information on entertainment consumption patterns. For instance, it can identify overlaps between audiences of particular movies or video games. The platform draws audience data from IGN Entertainment's various brands, including GamesIndustry.biz, as well as other properties owned by its parent company, Ziff Davis, which collectively reach a global monthly audience of approximately 500 million across web, video, podcasts, and social media. Imagine Audience then employs artificial intelligence to develop, validate, and size precise audience segments, enabling targeted campaigns. A key advantage of the system is its real-time functionality, allowing it to track user activity, such as visits to game help pages, to determine which games are being played at any given time. According to Karl Stewart, SVP of marketing at IGN Entertainment, 'Cultural intelligence is meaningless without action, and artificial intelligence without cultural context is merely automation.'
