Hades 2 has secured its position as the highest-rated PC game of 2025 on Metacritic, eclipsing notable titles such as Blue Prince, Hollow Knight: Silksong, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Following its exit from early access on September 25, the game has garnered widespread critical acclaim. With a Metascore of 95 based on 30 critic reviews, Hades 2 ranks third among the best games of the year so far, boasting an overall score of 94. The top two spots are held by the Nintendo Switch 2 editions of Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild, respectively. According to Alinea Analytics, Hades 2 has already achieved significant commercial success, selling over two million copies on Steam during its early access phase and generating revenues exceeding $50 million, with 1.5 million sales occurring within the first two months of its early access launch. A physical edition of the game is set to release on November 20, 2025, as a timed console exclusive on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
