Void Interactive Severs Ties with Community Manager Over Controversial Comments
The developer of Ready or Not, Void Interactive, has terminated its association with the game's community manager due to comments made regarding the assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk in the game's official Discord server. According to a report by Kotaku, the community manager, known as 'Kaminsky', was asked to add variations of 'Charlie Kirk' to the server's list of filtered words. In response, Kaminsky made remarks that sparked outrage, including 'Nothing of value was lost.' Following the incident, users on social media called for Void Interactive to take action. On September 19, 2025, the company issued a statement announcing the end of its relationship with Kaminsky, emphasizing that the comments did not reflect the company's values. The statement read, 'We have ended our relationship with this individual and reminded our team of the responsibility we all share when communicating on public platforms.' Void Interactive reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a respectful community around Ready or Not. When asked for further comment, a spokesperson referred to the statement on Steam, saying the team stands by the message. This incident comes after Sucker Punch Productions fired a senior artist for making a joke about Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated on September 10, 2025.
