Get Ready for a Spine-Chilling Tabletop RPG Experience with Salix Games and Liquid Crimson
UK-based Salix Games and creative agency Liquid Crimson have joined forces to present Overdue Exorcism, a live, one-night-only tabletop RPG event in support of the SpecialEffect charity. The event is scheduled to take place on October 3, 2025, under the guidance of game master Natalie Winter, known for her voice acting roles in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and Astrologaster. Winter will be accompanied by an array of renowned voice actors, including Billie Fulford-Brown, Dave Jones, Kathyrn Vinclaire, and Kit Harrison, with special guest appearances throughout the stream. The charity stream aims to raise £10,000 and can be watched on SpecialEffect's Twitch channel from 6pm to 10pm BST. Viewers will have the opportunity to unlock fundraising milestones, triggering entertaining challenges for the cast, including adopting wild accents, performing musical interludes, and participating in possession swaps. Additionally, viewer-triggered perks will allow fans to engage with the actors in unique ways, such as challenging them to dance-offs or requesting they read poetry in-character. According to Lauran Carter, comms director at Liquid Crimson, 'We're not here to play it safe - we're here to summon ghosts, break rules, and blow the doors off tabletop streaming.' The Overdue Exorcism stream is part of SpecialEffect's One Special Day initiative, which aims to create a more inclusive gaming environment for physically disabled gamers. On the same day, SpecialEffect will also host its One Special Walk fundraising event, a 25km walk across Greater London, and a Steam sale from September 11, 2025, to September 18, 2025. This marks the ninth consecutive year of SpecialEffect's One Special Day, with last year's event raising over £600,000. Paige Harvey, gaming community manager at SpecialEffect, expressed gratitude for the participants and anticipation for the event, stating, 'We couldn't be more thankful for everyone who has put their time into this incredible stream, and we can't wait to see what shenanigans take place on October 3 as part of One Special Day in support of our work!'
