Hades 2 Set to Leave Early Access on September 25, 2025
Supergiant Games has confirmed that Hades 2 will exit its early access phase on September 25, 2025, and launch as a timed console exclusive on the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. This announcement was made during the recent Nintendo Direct, where it was also revealed that a physical edition of the game will be available on November 20, compatible with both the original Switch and the Switch 2, priced at $50. The digital version, which will be available on Switch and PC, is priced at $30 and includes a free upgrade pack. Cross-saves will be supported across the Switch, Switch 2, Steam, and Epic Game Store versions, allowing players to transfer their progress seamlessly. Furthermore, players who have been participating in the early access on PC will be able to transfer their save data to the Switch via an in-game menu. The development team expressed their commitment to the game, stating, "Hades 2 is our first-ever sequel, and we've dedicated over four and a half years to its development. Since entering early access in May 2024, we've incorporated feedback from our community to maximize the game's potential, resulting in the largest game we've ever produced, and one that we hope will be a worthy successor to the original." Although a release date for PlayStation and Xbox has not been announced, considering the original game's release pattern, it's plausible that Hades 2 could become available on these platforms around August 2026.
