Devcom 2025 Sees 6% Increase in Attendance Compared to 2024
The Devcom Developer Conference 2025 has achieved a new attendance milestone for the second consecutive year, with a 6% rise from 2024, drawing 5,400 visitors. This year's event featured an impressive lineup of 390 speakers, representing a 30% increase, across 220 sessions and 17 stages. Furthermore, Devcom 2025 played host to 2,500 companies from 89 countries, with 53 exhibitors showcasing their innovative projects and services. According to Stephen Reichart, managing director of game events GmbH and Devcom organizer, "When Devcom was first launched in 2017, our primary objective was to establish a unified platform for developers. Over time, the conference has evolved into a global knowledge-sharing hub, inspiring and connecting professionals within our industry." Reichart continued, "The record-breaking attendance and subsequent rebranding as Gamescom Dev, effective October 2025, signify a pivotal moment in our journey. This transformation underscores the event's growth, the community's evolution, and the solid foundation for future endeavors." Earlier in the week, Devcom organizers announced the conference's rebranding, with Reichart stating, "Our journey with Devcom has been remarkable, yet challenging at times. From the outset, people often inquired if we were the game development aspect of Gamescom, prompting us to adopt the subtitle, 'The official game developer conference of Gamescom.' Now, with the rebranding to Gamescom Dev, the connection is clear – all developer-related content will be consolidated under this new title."
