Fateless Secures $14 Million in Funding for Ambitious Cross-Platform RPG
Fateless, an independent game development studio, has successfully raised $14 million to support the creation of its debut title, Godforge, a cross-platform RPG slated for release in Q1 2026. The studio, which was established in May 2023 under the HellHades Gaming brand, initially raised $6 million in funding within a mere 10 weeks of its inception. A subsequent funding round has yielded an additional $8 million, as announced in a press release dated August 14, 2025. Fateless attributes the bulk of its $14 million in funding to the enthusiastic support of its community, comprising members of the HH Gaming and HellHades networks. Godforge, currently in the alpha phase, has already undergone its first wave of testing, with 4,421 players accumulating 45,776 hours of gameplay. "With a dedicated audience of over two million players across our online platforms, we are confident that Godforge will revolutionize the hero collector genre for a new generation of players," stated Simon "HellHades" Lockerby, co-founder and CEO of Fateless. "The community's faith in our project is evident, not only through their engagement but also their significant contribution to our initial and subsequent funding rounds."
