Appcharge Secures $58 Million in Series B Funding Round

Appcharge, a pioneering payment platform designed for mobile game publishers, has successfully raised $58 million in its Series B funding round, as announced on August 13, 2025. This round was spearheaded by IVP, with notable participation from Playrix and existing investors, including Creandum, Play Ventures, Glilot Capital Partners, Smilegate Investment, Moneta VC, Bitkraft Ventures, and Corundum. Karthik Ramakrishnan, partner at IVP, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "Appcharge is among the most rapidly growing companies in gaming infrastructure, and its potential is only beginning to unfold." He further emphasized, "The era where mobile game publishers were forced to relinquish a significant portion of their transactions to distribution platforms is coming to an end. Appcharge is at the forefront of shaping the future that follows." Following its $26 million Series A funding in November 2024, led by Creandum, Appcharge's total backing now amounts to $89 million. The newly acquired investment is slated to be utilized for scaling the platform, introducing new products, and catering to the burgeoning global demand, thereby leading the next phase in mobile game customer engagement. As per the press release, Appcharge empowers stores for over 100 games, with publishers experiencing substantial retention gains and average profit increases of 35%. The company is currently processing transactions exceeding $500 million and has witnessed a remarkable 14-fold year-on-year growth. Maor Sason, CEO and co-founder of Appcharge, observed, "Recent court rulings and policy shifts have opened up direct-to-consumer avenues, paving the way for a new era." He added, "As publishers increasingly adopt the direct-to-consumer model as a more robust alternative, we are at the vanguard of this evolution, helping to create a new landscape that transcends traditional app and web stores, offering better economic prospects for consumer apps and expanded options for customers."
