FX Reportedly Developing Far Cry Anthology Series

According to recent reports, FX is working on an anthology drama series inspired by Ubisoft's Far Cry video game franchise. The news was briefly posted on Ubisoft's website before being removed. However, details were shared on Reddit, revealing that Rob McElhenney, known for his work on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Noah Hawley, creator of the Fargo series, are set to co-create the show. McElhenney is expected to star in the series, while Hawley will serve as showrunner. The anthology series will reportedly feature a new cast of characters and setting each season, mirroring the video game's standalone storytelling approach. McElhenney and Hawley will also executive produce the series, alongside other industry professionals. The project joins a growing list of video game adaptations in development, including TV series based on The Last of Us and Fallout.
