Genshin Impact to Cease Operations on PlayStation 4

MiHoYo has revealed plans to discontinue Genshin Impact on the PlayStation 4 console. The decision, as outlined in a community forum notice, stems from constraints related to the platform's hardware capabilities and application size. The sunset process will unfold in three stages, commencing with the game's delisting from the PlayStation Store on September 10, 2025. Although the game will no longer be available for new downloads, players who have previously installed Genshin Impact can still access it. In-game purchases are set to conclude on February 2, 2026, after which point top-ups and purchases will no longer be available. Official support for the game will terminate on April 8, 2026, marking the end of login capabilities and update patches for the PS4 version. Prior to the update discontinuation, players can still claim uncollected items purchased from the PS Store by logging into the game on their PS4 console.
