Ireland-Based Day Off Interactive Launches as a Strategy and Simulation Game Studio

A newly established game studio specializing in cutting-edge strategy and simulation games has been launched in Dublin. Day Off Interactive, founded by industry veterans including Karoliina Korppoo and Des Gayle, boasts a team of experienced professionals from across Europe who work remotely and adhere to a four-day workweek, reflecting the studio's namesake. Although the studio's public announcement was made on August 5, it has been operational since July 2024. Day Off Interactive aims to revolutionize classic game genres while incorporating modern design elements, focusing on the creation of intelligent and responsive in-game characters. The studio's lineup includes notable figures such as Colman Humphrey, Jayne Robinson, Ethan Grant, and Karl Rabbitt. While details of its debut project remain under wraps for now, the studio has confirmed that an official announcement regarding its first game is scheduled for September 2025.
