Global Gaming League Partners with Top Game Publishers
A newly established video game league, set to launch later this month, has successfully negotiated licensing agreements with six prominent game publishers. The partnerships were announced by the Global Gaming League on August 4, with Activision Blizzard, Bandai Namco, Capcom, Tetris, Ubisoft, and EA being the first to join. The league's inaugural season, dubbed SZN Zero, is scheduled to commence on August 23, 2025, featuring teams of four, owned by celebrities, competing against each other in four distinct games from different genres. The league's unique concept has been likened to a fusion of the NFL and WWE. Notable figures such as wrestler Rick Flair, rapper T-Pain, and social media personality Bryce Hall have already signed on as team owners. The partnerships enable the league to feature games from the participating publishers, including Tetris, Trackmania, and Call of Duty, which will be streamed globally. According to Clinton Sparks, founder and CEO of the Global Gaming League, the partnerships will help bring together gamers of all ages and backgrounds, uplifting the gaming industry as a whole.
