JECO, a UK-Based Game Tech Firm, Raises $1.3 Million in Pre-Seed Funding
JECO, a UK-based technology company, has successfully secured $1.3 million in pre-seed funding, led by the British Business Bank and The Games Angels. This investment is expected to drive growth and development in the company. In a recent press release, Mark Barry, Senior Investment Director at the British Business Bank, expressed his delight with the co-investment, stating that it aligns with the bank's goals to boost the UK's regional economy and support innovative entrepreneurs in key sectors. Founded by industry veterans Emily Bailey and Simon Barratt, JECO offers a groundbreaking B2B tech toolkit designed to help developers enhance performance while reducing production costs, timelines, and environmental impact. According to Bailey, the company's mission is to empower developers to make positive changes through technology. A significant portion of the funding will be dedicated to developing JECO's energy dashboard monitoring app, slated for release in Q4 2025. The app aims to provide automatic tracking of running costs, hardware specifications, and carbon data. Nick Button-Brown, founder of The Games Angels, praised JECO's innovative approach, stating that the company addresses a fundamental flaw in software development. He believes that JECO has the potential to make a significant impact in the industry over the next few years.
