According to a report by Business Wire, pre-orders for the bundle are currently available at the My Nintendo Store and select retailers, priced at $499.9/£429.99 - a $50/£34 premium over the standard console price of $449.99/£395.99. At its annual shareholders meeting in June, Nintendo addressed concerns regarding the Switch 2's pricing during a Q&A session. Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa stated that the console's price reflects the quality of the gaming experience it provides, while also acknowledging that the company is closely monitoring the potential impact of the price on sales. For the time being, Nintendo appears to be standing firm on its pricing strategy. This decision is likely due to the Switch 2's record-breaking launch in the US and its successful debut in Japan, where 2.2 million people applied to pre-order the console.
