Ubisoft Announces Restructuring into 'Creative Houses' Amid Lower-Than-Expected Q1 Financials
Ubisoft has released its Q1 financial results for the 2025-26 fiscal year, revealing earnings that fell short of expectations. The company's performance was impacted by lower-than-expected results for Rainbow Six Siege, unfavorable foreign exchange, and a delayed partnership. However, back-catalog net bookings saw a 4% increase from the same period last year. CEO Yves Guillemot noted that Assassin's Creed Shadows met expectations, with over five million unique players, while Rainbow Six Siege X received positive feedback despite technical pricing issues. The company will reorganize into 'Creative Houses' to enhance quality, focus, autonomy, and accountability. Key financial highlights include revenue of €310.8 million, net bookings of €281.6 million, and digital net bookings of €250.2 million. Ubisoft's transformation progress includes the establishment of a new subsidiary and the expected approval of the Tencent transaction by the end of the year.
