Turn 10, Developer of Forza Motorsport, Reportedly Disbanded
According to recent reports, Turn 10, the development team behind the Forza Motorsport series, has allegedly ceased operations, with the team effectively dissolved. The news follows a series of layoffs across Microsoft's gaming division, which began last week, amidst numerous rumors and speculation. Initially, it was believed that nearly half of Turn 10's staff had been let go, but new reports suggest that the Forza Motorsport series may be completely wound down. Fred Russell, a former Forza Motorsport content coordinator, expressed his sadness on Facebook, stating that "Turn 10 Studios has closed the Forza Motorsport division, and the team no longer exists." Another former employee, Chris Harding, hinted that around 120 people from the Forza Motorsport team were let go, as reported by IGN. It is believed that the remaining staff will be redirected to support the development of Forza Horizon, a sister franchise developed by Playground Games.
