Introducing the Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition: A New Era in VR Gaming

In a collaborative effort, Xbox and Meta have unveiled the Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition, a limited-edition VR headset designed to celebrate the growth of Xbox Cloud Gaming on Meta Quest headsets. According to Lori Wright, Corporate VP of Xbox partnerships and marketing, this release represents a significant milestone in the ongoing partnership between the two companies. The goal, Wright explained, has been to provide gamers with the freedom to play their favorite games whenever and wherever they choose. The Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition bundle, priced at $400, includes the headset, Touch Plus controllers, a limited-edition wireless controller, a Meta Quest Elite strap, and a three-month subscription to Meta Horizon+ and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. The device also supports pairing with any Xbox wireless controller or adaptive controller via Bluetooth. Wright expressed pride in the collaboration, stating that the Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition marks the beginning of new possibilities when great teams and technology come together. The announcement coincides with reports of a potential major round of layoffs at Xbox, following previous layoffs in May 2025, September 2024, and January 2024. Despite these changes, Microsoft's gaming segment has seen a 5% year-on-year revenue increase, according to its recent Q3 2025 results.
