The submission period for the 2025 GamesIndustry.biz Best Places To Work Awards is now underway, inviting UK-based games companies to participate. The awards process has been refined to reflect the current challenges and priorities of the industry, focusing on key areas such as diversity, employee wellbeing, and corporate social responsibility. Eligible companies include developers, publishers, service providers, retailers, and media outlets, all of whom can enter via a dedicated link. The entry deadline is Friday, August 22, with the winners to be announced on October 2 at the Royal Institution. The awards utilize a two-part survey system, with employer submissions accounting for 20% of the score and employee feedback making up the remaining 80%. A detailed explanation of the awards process, judging criteria, and FAQs can be found on the official website. Participant companies will receive a complimentary report outlining their overall scores, with optional benchmarking and advanced reports available for purchase. In addition to the main awards, several special category awards will be presented, recognizing excellence in areas such as diversity, corporate social responsibility, health and wellbeing, training and development, education, environmental sustainability, and HR heroism. Sponsored by Amiqus, Playground Games, and Lighthouse Games, the awards ceremony will take place alongside the HR Summit at the Royal Institution on October 2. Amiqus will present its G Into Gaming Award, honoring an individual for their outstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion. "A strong company culture is essential for a successful game studio, and the Best Places To Work Awards play a vital role in showcasing companies that foster exceptional workplaces," said Liz Prince, business manager at Amiqus.
