Warhorse Studios Expands with New Office in Brno for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Development
Czech game developer Warhorse Studios, known for the Kingdom Come: Deliverance series, is set to open a new development office in Brno, bolstering its long-term development goals and commitment to the local gaming community. The office, scheduled to open on July 1, 2025, will be headed by Petr Kolář, formerly of Ashborne Studios, which collaborated with Warhorse on the Brushes with Death DLC for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. This expansion enables Warhorse to increase its development capacity, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and tap into Brno's rich gaming heritage and talent pool. According to Warhorse's communications director, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, the new office will initially contribute to ongoing support for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and its DLCs, with plans for more complex and larger games in the future. Brno's strong game development tradition, access to technical universities, and experienced professionals make it an ideal location for Warhorse's long-term growth. The city is home to notable studios like Bohemia Interactive, GIANTS Software, and Hangar 13, and has a history of game development, including the creation of 2K's Mafia franchise. With Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 having sold over 3 million copies and the first game surpassing 10 million copies sold, Warhorse Studios is poised for continued success with its new office in Brno.
