Iwot Games, the developer of an upcoming open-world RPG set in the Wheel of Time universe created by Robert Jordan, has welcomed three senior professionals to its team: Lori Hyrup, John Lindemuth, and Steve Gray. The new appointees will be reporting to Craig Alexander, the studio head, with designated roles including Lori Hyrup as design director, John Lindemuth as art director, and Steve Gray as technology director. With over two decades of experience, Hyrup joins from notable companies such as Warner Bros. Discovery, Deck Nine, EA, and Kabam. Lindemuth brings 30 years of experience, having previously served as the director of art at Turbine and worked on prominent titles including Dungeons & Dragons Online, Lord of the Rings Online, and Harmonix. Similarly, Gray boasts over 30 years of experience with senior roles at Tencent and EA. According to Alexander, "Building a game that does justice to the Wheel of Time legacy requires a top-notch leadership team." The appointment of Lori, John, and Steve is expected to significantly enhance the studio's capabilities, given their exceptional experience, creativity, and dedication to storytelling. With their expertise on board, the studio is well-positioned to create an engaging and immersive experience for fans worldwide. This development follows the recent hiring of Stéphane D'Astous as the director of studio operations, as part of the studio's ambitious plan to expand its workforce to 200-300 employees in Montreal over the coming years.
