Apple Takes Over RAC7, Developer of Sneaky Sasquatch

Apple has taken ownership of RAC7, the development team behind Sneaky Sasquatch. According to a report by Digital Trends, Apple viewed this acquisition as a chance to aid the team in further expanding the game's presence on Apple Arcade. Sneaky Sasquatch was among the titles available at the launch of Apple's gaming subscription service in September 2019. An Apple spokesperson expressed enthusiasm for the acquisition, stating, "We have a deep affection for Sneaky Sasquatch and are thrilled that the two-person RAC7 team has joined us to continue working on the game." The spokesperson also reassured that Apple will maintain its support for third-party studios contributing to Apple Arcade, describing the RAC7 acquisition as an exceptional case. Meanwhile, a report from Bloomberg suggests that Apple is working on a dedicated gaming app for its devices, expected to be unveiled later this year. The app is purported to serve as a central hub for game titles, allowing users to access in-game achievements, leaderboards, and other features in a single location. Apple has declined to comment on the rumored app, which may be announced at the company's Worldwide Developers Conference on June 9, 2025.
