Nazara Technologies Expands Portfolio with £21.7m Acquisition of Curve Games

In a strategic move to bolster its position in the gaming and sports media landscape, Nazara Technologies has acquired UK-based Curve Games for £21.7 million. This acquisition is part of Nazara's broader strategy to build a diversified portfolio through targeted mergers and acquisitions. By integrating Curve Games, Nazara aims to enhance its global footprint, particularly in the PC and console gaming sectors, by leveraging Curve's proven publishing capabilities. According to Nazara CEO Nitish Mittersain, "Curve's expertise in PC and console publishing aligns perfectly with our expansion plans beyond mobile, focusing on high-quality, cross-platform gaming experiences." This move not only deepens Nazara's capabilities but also brings renowned IPs into its fold, reinforcing its mission to establish itself as a global gaming powerhouse. Furthermore, the acquisition positions Curve Games as a gateway for Indian game developers to access the global market. Stuart Dinsey, Executive Chairman of Curve Games, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting the alignment in vision between the two companies to build a leading global indie platform. Curve Games, founded by Jason Perkins in 2005, has made a name for itself with the publication of successful indie titles such as Human: Fall Flat, Dungeons of Hinterberg, and The Ascent. This acquisition follows Nazara's recent fundraising efforts, where it secured $108 million to support its merger and acquisition plans, and its acquisition of Fusebox Games for $27.2 million, demonstrating its commitment to strategic growth and expansion in the gaming industry.
