Call of Duty: Warzone Removed from Mobile Stores by Activision

Activision has officially delisted Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The decision, made due to the game's failure to meet expectations and a need to streamline its scope, was announced last week and took effect on May 18. For players who installed the game prior to its removal, it will continue to function, and servers will remain active. However, there will be no further updates, new content, or in-app purchases using real money. According to Activision, the choice to pull the game was made after careful consideration, citing that despite successfully bringing an authentic Call of Duty experience to mobile, it did not resonate with mobile-first players as it had with PC and console audiences. Existing players will retain access to cross-progression and shared inventories, and any unused in-game currency can still be spent on available content, though new purchases are no longer possible. Activision clarified that refunds will not be offered for previously bought in-game items.
