Enshrouded and Split Fiction Dominate German Computer Game Awards 2025

The German Computer Game Awards 2025 have announced their winners, with Split Fiction taking the top prize for International Game of the Year and Keen Studios' Enshrouded winning Best German Game, as well as awards for Best Innovation and Technology. Megagon Industries was named Studio of the Year, and Steinwallen was voted Player of the Year. The total prize money of €800,000 was distributed among the winners, with Enshrouded receiving the highest award of €100,000 for its outstanding achievement in the German gaming scene. The full list of winners includes: International Game of the Year - Split Fiction by Hazelight Studios and Electronic Arts; Best German Game - Enshrouded by Keen Games, followed by Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders by Megagon Industries and Thronefall by Grizzly Games; Best Family Game - PRIM by Common Colors and Application Systems Heidelberg. The Newcomer Award for Best Debut went to Nordhold by Stunforge and HypeTrain Digital, while the Newcomer Award for Best Prototype was awarded to Blob the Klex by Melena Dressel, Alejandro Rebolledo, and Laura Octavianus from Hochschule Darmstadt. Other notable winners include Enshrouded for Best Innovation and Technology, ODDADA for Best Audio Design, Thronefall for Best Game Design, and Harold Halibut for Best Graphic Design. The Best Mobile Game award went to Duck Detective: The Secret Salami by Happy Broccoli Games, and Vampire Therapist by Little Bat Games won the Best Story award. Deine Stimme by Sebastian Grünwald and Reality Twist, in cooperation with the Bavarian State Centre for Political Education, received the Best Serious Game award.
