Studio 42 Raises $3.6 Million in Seed Funding

Mobile game developer Studio 42 has successfully secured $3.6 million in funding through a seed round, led by Play Ventures and also backed by GEM Capital and Arcadia Gaming Partners. The funds will be utilized to drive the development of the studio's first game and explore future projects. With its headquarters in Cyprus, Studio 42 boasts a diverse team of 14 members spread across four countries. Founded earlier this year by seasoned gaming executives Aleksandr Bogdanov, Ivan Larionov, and Pavel Sudakov, who previously held leadership roles at Belka Games, the studio is poised for growth. Bogdanov expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "We're eager to collaborate with Play Ventures, GEM Capital, and Arcadia Gaming Partners as we embark on this new chapter. Their support enables us to concentrate on crafting simple yet captivating experiences, as we believe that simplicity is the key to genius. Together, we're ready to introduce innovative ideas to the puzzle genre." Henric Suuronen, founding partner at Play Ventures, also commented, "We're delighted to support Aleksandr, Ivan, Pavel, and the talented team at Studio 42. From the outset, we shared their vision of reimagining core puzzle mechanics through a hybrid-casual approach, with live operations as a strategic driver. Their impressive track record speaks for itself, and we're proud to be a part of their journey."
