EA Shifts Towards Office-Based Work with New Hybrid Model

Electronic Arts is transitioning to a hybrid work model, requiring employees to spend at least three days a week in the office. According to an email from CEO Andrew Wilson, this change aims to foster creativity, innovation, and collaboration among team members. The shift is expected to occur over a minimum 12-week notice period, with the exact timing varying by location. Employees living within a 30-mile radius of their local office will be expected to adopt the new hybrid model, while those outside this area will be considered remote workers unless their role requires on-site presence. This move follows a trend in the industry, with companies like Activision Blizzard, Ubisoft Montreal, and Rockstar Games also transitioning to hybrid or in-office models in recent years.
