Fallout TV Series Gets Season 3 Renewal Ahead of Season 2 Premiere

Amazon has confirmed the renewal of its Fallout series for a third season, with the second season scheduled to launch in December 2025. This announcement was made during the platform's upfront presentation, where it was revealed that the upcoming season will follow Lucy, The Ghoul, and Maximus as they journey to New Vegas, a location first introduced in the 2010 game Fallout: New Vegas. The series, created by Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, is executive produced by Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy, and Athena Wickham, with production handled by Kilter Films in association with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks. According to Vernon Sanders, Amazon MGM's global head of television, "The surreal and captivating world of Fallout has been brought to life in a truly exceptional way by Jonathan, Lisa, Geneva, and Graham, and we are delighted to announce a third season, even before the highly anticipated second season premieres." The first season of Fallout, which premiered on April 10, 2024, was renewed for a second season just nine days later, after attracting 65 million viewers in its first two weeks. The show's success also led to a significant increase in players of the video game series, with Fallout Shelter's daily revenue reaching $80,000 and sales of Fallout games surging across Europe in April 2024, with Fallout 4 taking the top spot.
