Gamescom Latam 2025 Sees 30% Increase in Attendance with Over 130,000 Visitors
The 2025 Gamescom Latam has shattered its previous attendance records, drawing in excess of 130,000 visitors to São Paulo between April 30 and May 4. As the second iteration of Gamescom Latam, following its inaugural collaboration with the Brazil Indie Games Festival in the previous year, this event has demonstrated a significant 30% increase in attendance from the initial 100,000 visitors. Over 40 prominent publishers, including Roblox, Supercell, Warner Bros., Nintendo, Bethesda, Bandai Namco, Ubisoft, and Sega, showcased their offerings, with more than 400 games available for attendees to experience. The event also attracted over 3,000 professionals from the gaming industry. According to Gustavo Steinberg, CEO of Gamescom Latam, "The exceptional turnout and broken records not only underscore the event's substantial relevance to the region but also serve as a testament to the market's consolidation, competitiveness, and passion for high-quality professionals, thereby attracting companies worldwide." This year's event took place at the newly introduced Anhembi District venue. Furthermore, Gamescom reported that it hosted over 300 members of the press and more than 2,000 partnered influencers, ultimately reaching an online audience of over 10 million users through its platforms. Notable speakers included Bo Andersson, the former CEO of Starbreeze, Henk Rogers, co-founder of The Tetris Company, and Shuhei Yoshida, the former head of PlayStation indies. Gamescom Latam is set to return to the same venue from April 29 to May 3 in 2026.
